General Guidelines

• Multiple Submissions allowed in different genres
• Simultaneous submission obviously allowed (just let me know if a piece gets published elsewhere)
• No cover letter necessary, unless you want to say hi
• Visual Art, Poetry, and Flash Fiction all accepted (as well as anything else you could put in journal form)

What I’m looking for

If the name didn’t give it away, this is a low-stakes journal, which means you can have fun and submit the stuff you normally might not (too weird, too dumb). But also, if you want to submit your heavy hitters, no one will stop you.

Ultimately, IT DOESN’T NEED TO BE POLISHED! I’m happy to work with you on second drafts.

Guidelines for different mediums

Visual art

We won’t be printing the journal in color, so keep that in mind with your submission. Otherwise, go nuts! Submit in whatever form you want.

Poetry

Length-wise, try to keep it under 2 pages, though we can do some magic if we need to. Submit as a Word Doc. Only use PDF if the formatting is very specific.

Fiction

With fiction, keep it under 1,000 words. If you’re over though don’t stress. We can either collab to shorten it, or get creative. Submit as a Word Doc.
